Hammer Terms.

Unless otherwise noted all of our hammers are New Old Stock.

They are un-used and any wear is due to the length of time that they have been in storage. In some cases this could be pre World War II, so you should know this. Mostly the tools are between 3 and 4 decades old and made in the USA back when quality was more important than corporate profits.

If you expect your hammer to be perfect with regards to finish and condition, you'd better ask us before you buy, because sometines our hammers can have scratches or stains on the paint or handles.

The hammer you buy may not be the hammer in the photograph, but it will be it's equal in form and function.

If you are a collector, please let us know. Users may not need to have a perfect lable but a collector may want the pick of the litter. If you don't request a collector version of a tool, you'll get the one we put in the box.

Speaking of boxes. If you want the original box that the hammer came in, we can sometimes satisfy that need. If we can't, we can't. Some hammers we carry have the original box, and some don't. It doesn't hurt to ask.

Remember, you use these hammers at your own risk. Once we ship out your hammer it's yours. We recommend that you follow all safe-use policies such as safety glasses and protective clothing.

We don't test these hammers.(If we did, they would be USED.) Once we sold a 4 pound hammer to a guy that complained it's face was (in his oppinion) "too soft". He complained to us, as if we had any control over the production of hammers 4 decades earlier. If you feel you know more than the manufacturer regarding heat-treating, please spend your money elsewhere, for we are not worthy of taking your money.

Otherwise, please feel free to ask questions: Write us here.
